Dreamers will explore various sites throughout Tuskegee and Macon County, and other areas of interest, to find resources to enhance the quality of life for their community and improve the environment. Students will be encouraged to gain a thorough knowledge of agriculture, which includes studying the soil and finding ways to grow stronger and healthier food sources to sustain life and improve lifestyles for the global environment. Students will be encouraged to study and to produce quality products that can be sold, even export goods to other nations, preserved (canning), and recycled (compost), to provide farmers with the most efficient and effective crops.
Restoration of the community is a major project to be accomplished in a timely manner, if each individual family takes an active role in their residential area. Family members will be encouraged to evaluate their home environment to B.A.A.D. K.I.D.D.S.™ (Blessed,Anointed,Awesome,Dreamers, Kingdom-minded, Inspired,Determined,Destined, Successful) determine the most cost effective way to repair and/or remodel their home to make it safe and warm.
Teams of volunteer students from local colleges and universities will work with the family to offer suggestions to the home design and remodel to provide the final analysis. The restorative team will then work with volunteer contractors (some paid) to accomplish the home restoration project. Families that are able to assist with the supplies will be encouraged to purchase. It is expected that family members will assist in the work that will be performed on their homes.
